BioGraphical Sketch:
Kingtse Mo is a physical scientist. She joined the CPC in 1986. Her research interests include model diagnostics, seasonal prediction, climate research and the Southern Hemisphere meteorology. More recent research activities include drought monitoring and prediction, and the VAMOS/CLIVAR related project.
Dr. Mo has a Ph. D. in Physics from the University of Maryland. She was a research scientist at the Modeling Simulation Branch /Goddard Space Flight Center, NASA before coming to the CPC. She is an AMS Fellow. She was the VAMOS panel member from 2002-2006. She chaired the AMS STAC Committee on Meteorology and Oceanography of the Southern Hemisphere from 1997-2001. Currently, she is a member of the North American monsoon science working group. She also chairs the IASCLIP modeling and simulation working group.
