GODAS depends on continuous real-time data from the Global Ocean Observing System. This project is to deliver routine ocean monitoring products, and is being implemented by CPC in cooperation with NOAA Global Ocean Monitoring and Observing (GOMO)

Monthly Ocean Briefing
Around the 8-12th day of each month, the CPC makes a monthly assessment of how the state of the global ocean evolved recently; what was the interaction with the atmosphere; and how model predictions verified. This assessment is disseminated using a PPT presentation and conference call. Contact Zeng-Zhen Hu for details on conference call or if you wish to be added to the Monthly Ocean Briefing listserv. If you use the materials in the ocean briefing PPT, please acknowlege the web site at https://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/GODAS.
